+The generator set this up better than I could have. The brief names a **revenant** —
+which is in the bestiary already — and the truth page says the cause is *elsewhere in
+the same location and has not been noticed*. In a records office, that is the
+**carrion file**.

+**The revenant was resolved without a shot.** Its printed leverage is "tell it where
+that person is, and it will go, and that becomes somebody's problem" — the Antiquities
+Officer made the Knowledge roll off the parish register and it left. That is a
+statblock's tactics line doing the work a fight would otherwise have done.

+**Then the gap surfaced, and the file did what it is for.** AMENDMENT is written as a
+rule with no saving roll, and that is deliberate: it removed the Antiquities Officer's
