The propagation clause was cut in the v2.1 simplification and never came
back, so 168 children knew a song that did nothing and ending A took them
into care for no stated reason. Restored, and given teeth: a child who hums
it right through takes whoever hears it, which is why nobody below can just
wade in and carry them off the lock.
And the song is now used. Taking the Address out of the safe is the
instruction the congregation has never been given: every child below stands
up, walks to the blast lock and starts working the wheel. Forty minutes to
open, no rolls, no initiative — a clock, a growing crowd of parents who tried
to help and got taken, and the Seat saying, correctly, that this did not
happen until the Board arrived. Breaking the song now ends the turn, the
encounter and the broadcast in one act.
