"Esper" generative Vangelis-style app at `~/esper/index.html` (~1000 lines, single file, Web Audio, no deps) with README.md; launch config `esper` in `~/.claude/launch.json` serves port 8766. Built 2026-08-22, expanded the same day on the user's "lots and lots more functions" request.
Panels: Style & tempo (14 styles, tempo/key/scale override, chord chips with hold/next/randomize), Layers (26 per-sound levels incl. whale, spinner, thunder, city hum, machinery, radio, heartbeat, glass, bell tower, tape), Manipulations (ensemble chorus, wow/flutter, phaser, lo-fi, gate, tremolo, master filter + breathe, delay sync/ping-pong, reverb spaces, warmth/air, drift, width, half-time, Freeze), Performance (keys voices, arpeggiator, sustain, lead/pad/bass/drum overrides, harmony), Conductor (Evolve, Journey, cue buttons), Studio (WAV record, 4 snapshots, Dream randomizer, export/import, themes, spectrum scope). State in localStorage `esper-v2` (+ `-snap1..4`). `window.esper` exposes internals.
**Why:** user wanted a second app "very Blade Runner, CS-80 Vangelis based" with style/tempo controls, then asked to massively increase functions and ambient elements — distinct from the Drift groovebox ([[ambient-synth]]).
**How to apply:** CS-80 engine shares lineage with Drift — port fixes both ways. Browser test scripts must stay under ~25 s per call (tool timeout). Not in git; ask before creating a repo.

"Grimoire" at `~/grimoire/index.html` (~460 lines, single file, Web Audio, no deps, no samples) with README.md; launch config `grimoire` in `~/.claude/launch.json` serves port 8768. Built 2026-08-22 when the user asked for "something like" Clark Audio's Dark Fantasy Keys VST (40 presets, categories Liminal Journey / Angel Garden / Dungeon Synth / Enchanted Spell / Scrolls / The Healer, load-and-play).

Architecture: layer library (epiano, piano, celesta, harpsi, clavi, musicbox, bell, glock, tubular, glass, pad, choir, strings, organ, drone, flute, lute, harp, sub) → presets stack 1–3 layers; FX chain drive → chorus → worn (wow/crusher/tilt/crackle) → synced delay → reverb (4 impulses) with octave-up shimmer pitch-shifter → air → tone → width → limiter. Rotary knob UI component. Arp, key lock, texture beds, favourites, user presets, Conjure randomizer, export/import, WAV record. Storage via guarded LS helper (keys grimoire-user/favs/state). `window.grimoire` exposes API.

"Haunt" horror ambience machine at `~/haunt/index.html` (~770 lines, single file, Web Audio, no deps) with README.md; launch config `haunt` in `~/.claude/launch.json` serves port 8767. Built 2026-08-22 on the user's "do the same for another app, horror ambiance" request, mirroring Esper's six-panel architecture ([[esper-app]]).
Scenes: asylum, woods, house, boiler, ritual, cosmic, hospital, ship, cornfield, crypt, station, cabin, carnival, numbers. Master params: tension (drives everything), pulse, key, scale, dissonance, darkness, proximity. 36 synthesised layers incl. whispers, breathing, footsteps, creaks, knocks, chains, crows, wolves, numbers-station voice, screams, giggle, Shepard tone, reverse swells, stingers. Conductor: tension arc → jump scare (silence gain node → stinger/scream/flash), evolve, journey, 16 cues. Studio: WAV record, snapshots, Nightmare randomizer, export/import. State in localStorage `haunt-v1`. `window.haunt` exposes everything.
**How to apply:** same test approach as Esper (batches under ~25 s). Not in git; ask before creating a repo. The three apps (Drift, Esper, Haunt) share helper code by copy — port fixes across.

"Nexus" at `~/nexus/index.html` (~590 lines, single file, Web Audio, no deps) with README.md; launch config `nexus` in `~/.claude/launch.json` serves port 8769. Built 2026-08-22 as the capstone "combined tool" the user asked for (Blade Runner + horror + sci-fi horror + Alien + dramatic cinema, designed as a tool, playable).
Structure: Director (5 worlds → 18 scenes, Wonder↔Dread × Calm↔Intense XY pad driving voicings and pulse layers, arcs Build/Tension/Release/Chase/Trailer/Aftermath/Nightmare, evolve, journey, chord chips), Cue pads (16 one-shots on number row + QWER), Keys (split at C4, 20 voices incl. CS-80 presets, dark pad, epic/sul-pont strings, choirs, organ, piano, CS-80 lead, Alien echoplex trumpet, braam, taiko, hit; play modes poly/ostinato/arp/chord/pulse; key lock; harmony; sustain), Layers (42), Manipulations (Haunt's rack + sub boost + trailer squash), Studio (WAV record, snapshots, Dream, export/import). State in localStorage `nexus-v1` via guarded LS helper. `window.nexus` exposes everything.
**Gotcha fixed:** a percussion `tick()` clobbered the transport `tick()` (same-scope function declarations) → stack overflow; percussion is now `tickSound`. Watch for duplicate function names when merging app code.
**How to apply:** fifth sibling of [[ambient-synth]], [[esper-app]], [[haunt-app]], [[grimoire-app]]. Browser tests in <25 s batches. Not in git; ask before creating a repo.
