Blueprint News 0 Engine (Foundry VTT module)
Everything SLA Blueprint News does — generate BPN mission briefings as a journal package (player Brief + Field Dossier, GM Dossier, a character sheet per NPC with a black-and-white portrait, and an item card per OTEM) — plus, when run under the Zero Engine SLA system, it spawns real, playable NPC actors for the briefing.
Zero Engine NPC generation
On Create, in a world using the zero-engine system, the module also builds
an Actor folder for the briefing containing:
- a threat group matched to the BPN's opposition — gangs, Carrien, corp security, Stormers, black-ops, etc. — as a named leader plus several mooks,
- the named cast (contact and supporting NPCs).
Each actor is a Zero Engine npc with attributes (Strength/Agility/Wits/
Empathy), hit points, armour, damage, a threat level, and
embedded weapons (pistols, rifles, blades, claws…). Initiative is rolled
by the Zero Engine in combat, driven by Agility + Mobility, which these actors
have. The stat blocks mirror the system's own NPC Creator (SLA_NPC_TYPES), so
they behave exactly like hand-built Zero Engine NPCs — drop them on a scene and
roll initiative.
If the world is not using the Zero Engine, the module still produces the full journal package; it simply skips actor creation.
Use
GM only. Open from the Journal sidebar button ("Blueprint News 0E"), the
Notes toolbar, or game.slaBlueprintNewsZero.open(). Pick the band, SCL
level and reward sliders, then Create.

Requires the Zero Engine (SLA Industries) system for actor generation; compatible with Foundry VTT v13–v14 (verified 14.361).
Relationship to the base module
This is a standalone superset and can be installed alongside the base
sla-blueprint-news module without conflict (separate ids, buttons and
globals). Use this one for Zero Engine worlds.
